The phone asks once for camera and microphone access. That prompt comes from the phone, not from Kept, and nothing is recorded until the guest presses the button.

Recording happens on the phone, then the video uploads. A weak connection makes the upload slower, and an upload that gets cut off can pick up where it stopped instead of starting over.

If it still will not go through, nothing is lost. The sticker is already on the print, and the code behind it does not expire when the party ends. The guest can scan the same print in the parking lot, or at home the next morning, and record then.

Worth doing beforehand: ask the venue for the wifi name and password and write them on the table card. Your box has a test sticker outside the numbered set, so you can scan the station and check signal before anyone arrives.

Yes, as many times as they want. Scanning the same sticker again opens a fresh recording, and the newest one is what plays when the print is scanned later. Nobody is stuck with a first take.

None. The stickers in your box arrive printed, numbered, and matte, so a pen writes on them. Every code is already tied to your event.

If you run out or want spares, your dashboard makes a PDF laid out for 2 inch square labels, 12 to a US Letter sheet with cut guides. Any print shop takes that file, and a home label printer handles it as well. Ask for matte, since ink beads on gloss.

If the wedding is tomorrow, print the PDF from your dashboard yourself. Those codes work the moment they are scanned.

Anyone holding a print can play what is on it. That is the point of a print you pass around a table, and it is worth knowing before your guests record. The sticker is a physical key with no password behind it unless you add one.

The full gallery of every message needs your event code. You can set a password on the event, covering the gallery alone or every print as well, and you can hide any single message from your dashboard.

One year of hosting comes with every kit, counted from your event date, and you can extend it for as long as you want. Downloads are available the whole time.

Nothing is deleted without warning. Before an event comes down, the account holder gets an email with time to download everything first.

Email hello@keptprint.com with your event code and we send links to every video from your event as MP4 files. Self-serve downloads from the dashboard are being built; until they land, this is how it works, and there is no charge for it.

The Kept 120 box also ships a USB drive with every video on it, mailed after the event. The files play in anything and do not depend on Kept once they are on your machine.

While hosting is on, the print plays its message, however long it has been sitting in a shoebox. Prints do not carry an expiry date of their own.

If hosting has lapsed, the scan lands on a page saying the event is no longer online instead of a broken link, and turning hosting back on makes the same print work again. Your downloaded copies play either way.

Account holders get at least 60 days of notice by email, with downloads open the entire time. That is written into the terms, section 8, so it is a commitment rather than an intention.

Keeping your own copies is the surest version of this. Download the files once and the videos outlive any company, this one included.
