Terms of service
This is the agreement between you and Kept. It covers the kit we ship, the videos your guests record, and what each side is on the hook for. Making an account or ordering a kit means you accept it.

Kept sells a box of numbered QR stickers with table cards and stands. A guest presses a sticker onto the back of an instant photo, scans it with a phone camera, and records a video message in the browser. Scanning that same print later plays the message back. One year of hosting for those videos comes with the kit and can be extended.
Camera and film are yours to bring. Kept does not supply a camera, film, or anyone to run the photo station.
2. Your account
One person holds the account for an event: the host. You give a working email address, keep the password to yourself, and stay responsible for what happens under the account, including anything done by someone you shared the login with.
You need to be 18 or older to hold an account. If you think somebody else has your password, email hello@keptprint.com and we will lock the account.
3. Your event and your guests
You run the event, so consent at the event is yours to handle. Kept has no contact with your guests beyond the screen they record on.
- Tell guests the video is stored online and that anyone holding the print can play it. A line on the table card covers this.
- Get a parent’s agreement before a child records a message or appears in one.
- If a guest asks for their message to come down, take it down from your dashboard or write to us and we will.
- You confirm you have the right to collect and store the videos recorded at your event under the law where it takes place.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Kept to record, store, or share:
- Anything unlawful, threatening, or aimed at harassing a person.
- Sexual content, and above all any sexual content involving a minor.
- Footage of somebody who has said they do not want to be filmed.
Do not resell or redistribute sticker codes, scrape the site, attack it, or try to reach events that are not yours. Accounts that break this get their content removed and the account closed, and we report what the law requires us to report.
5. What we promise, and what we do not
Kept is a new service run by a small team in New Mexico. The first event it has ever run is a family wedding in July 2026. It is provided as-is, with no uptime guarantee and no promise that it is free of faults.
Venue wifi fails, phones die, uploads stall. We build for that and the codes keep working after the party, but we cannot guarantee that every message a guest starts ends up recorded. Download your videos when you get them. A downloaded file plays with no account, no scan, and no connection to us.
To the extent the law allows, Kept’s total liability to you for anything connected to the service is limited to what you paid for your kit, and Kept is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here removes rights you have that cannot be signed away.
6. Who owns the videos
The videos belong to you and the people in them. Kept claims no ownership of your videos, your photos, your guests’ names, or your event.
What Kept holds is the narrow permission it takes to run the thing: to store, transcode, copy for backup, and play back your videos so your event works. That permission covers your event and ends when you delete the content.
Kept will not use your videos, photos, or names in marketing, on the website, or anywhere public without asking you first and getting a yes in writing. Silence is not a yes.
7. Kits, payment, and refunds
The site cannot take payment yet. Kits are arranged over email and invoiced directly, at the price listed for that kit on the day you order.
- Requesting a kit does not charge you. Nothing is due until you agree to a total and a ship date.
- Cancel any time before your kit ships and you owe nothing, or get a full refund if you already paid.
- After it ships, the stickers carry codes printed for your event, so they cannot be resold. A kit that arrives damaged, short, or wrong gets replaced or refunded. Email photos of the problem.
- The first year of hosting is inside the kit price. Extending hosting past that year is quoted separately when you ask for it.
If an event never happens, write to us. We would rather sort it out with you than hold you to a box you cannot use.
8. Ending it
Stop using Kept whenever you like. Ask at hello@keptprint.com and your account and its content are deleted, as described in the privacy page.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks section 4, or that we are ordered to close. Where it is our call, you get an email and a chance to download your videos first.
If Kept ever shuts down, account holders get at least 60 days of notice by email, and downloads stay open for that whole window.
9. Changes, law, and contact
These terms will change as the service grows. The date at the top moves when they do, and material changes go out by email to account holders. Using Kept after a change means the new version applies to you.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts sitting in New Mexico.
